The Talent Studios has placed Thorsten Buerger as the Chief Financial Officer of Sparx Hockey, the leading developer and manufacturer of automated skate sharpening equipment for both in-home consumer and professional use. TTS worked closely with Sparx Founder & CEO, Russell Layton, and private equity investor, North Castle Partners. Heather Porter and Jeremy Cohen led the assignment for TTS.

Headquartered in Boston, MA, the Sparx Sharpener and accessories are now used by thousands of customers around the world, including individuals, families, professional and amateur teams, rink operators and retailers. Major retail customers include DICK’s Sporting Goods, Canadian Tire, Scheels, and Pro Hockey Life. In addition, more than 25 National Hockey League teams are using the Sparx Sharpener, and the company recently expanded its distribution to Europe and Russia.
